I love you and so does Holy Spirit, our Power, God, our Parent, and Jesus, our Brother, The Word of God.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Do you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is really in you?
I saw another shooting star this morning that was pretty bright and may have seen a second that was much more faint. Yesterday we stopped at Long Sands Beach in York to throw the ball to the dog for a while and gain some beach time looking out at the ocean. He always loves tearing down the beach and smelling all the smells. It was fun this morning during my outside morning prayers to see the big ocean of space. It is such a good way to gain perspective, with dot me on dot earth among all the dots of stars and planets and meteors. The seriousness, complications, and mind boggling challenges that we are navigating are pretty small dots when looked at next to the depth and breadth of Creation splayed out across the starry clear sky.
At many junctures in The Word of God, Jesus tells us The Trinity will come and make their home in us.
John 14:23 Jesus replied: ‘If anyone loves me he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our home with him.
I’ve written before about how knowing we are hosting Jesus, God, and Holy Spirit helps me keep my house, my body, soul, and mind clean and aligned and seeking to assist with God’s Will.
We host Jesus to bring His Light, Love, and Joy to others. It’s a pretty fun thing and seems like a happy thing to do.
And I think we are more akin to appearance of the stars than the sun or moon as we Host the Lord of Hosts, Jesus. The moon and sun tend to be so bright it’s hard to see the stars. God isn’t looking for us to be that bright. God’s looking for us to be a positive, cheerful, joyful boost to the people that we interact with today. I think the reality of Hosting Jesus, jazzes me up pretty well.
Teamed with Christ and hosting Christ we can happily host and be “Open and Asking; Joyful and Cheerful; Build Each Other Up.”
