Coperior

Christ calls us to be serve others and to seek the lowest seat. With the world all affixed on alpha dog, alpha person, and type A personalities, our Creator Christ calls us to seek to be coperior versus superior. Christ calls us to build ourselves up by building others up versus building ourselves up by pushing others down. I hope you like my newly coined word, coperior.

Mark 10:42-45   so Jesus called them to him and said to them, ‘You know that among the pagans their so-called rulers lord it over them, and their great men make their authority felt.  This is not to happen among you. No; anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant, and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all.  For the Son of Man himself did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’

Matthew 11:11   I tell you solemnly, of all the children born of women, a greater than John the Baptist has never been seen;  yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is.

Ephesians 6:5-9 in work…. be obedient …. deep respect and sincere loyalty as if to Christ …. work hard and willingly, but do it for the sake of the Lord …. and employers …. do without threats …. our Master in heaven not impressed by one person more than another …

Think of light shining on water or snow. Think of the Milky Way on a clear Winter’s night. Christ is not so interested in the people who gain a lot of fame, money, status, attention, and notoriety. Christ is interested in each and every one of his creations who are the sparkles on the snow or water and the stars in the Milky Way.  Christ is looking to us to help build each other up, to help grow each other as we build and grow ourselves.  Our shining of Christ present in us, is to be so as to spur others to shine of Christ more.  Christ is interested in how we keep our bodies which belong to Him clean so that Christ and The Holy Spirit can reside in us and help turn everything to it’s good. Romans 8:28. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. 2 Corinthians 13:5. Luke 14:11. Luke 17:10.  Mark 9:33-37. Mark 10:42-45. Matthew 18:1-4.

“All boats rise on a rising tide” is a quote to think of with this. We read about the famous and accomplished and the alphas of our times. But they are ‘out there.’ Christ is ‘in here’ inside of you right now and so you carry the most amazing, powerful, and valuable asset of you that anyone could ever gain. And we can all increase this beauty in each other and in us with mutual flourishing.

Much of what Christ Calls us to is counterintuitive and at first seems impractical. It is worth it to take the leap of faith and follow God’s Guidance laid out in The Word of God and Church Teachings. I think that the only thing we can know is that God Loves & Wants us and every person every created. The rest is a mystery that The Word of God helps us navigate. I think that is the point of the Garden of Eden. The point is not that women are to be blamed for making a bad choice. The message and lesson of the Garden of Eden verses are that we need to leave knowledge to God. Of course we can learn and study and so we should. We need to though temper it, so as not to feel control, and not feel like we don’t need God.  We have little control, God has lots of control, and we need God, always, all ways.

The Old Testament has endless cycles of people and peoples getting too confident and feeling like they do not have to rely on God, falling, then crawling back to God begging for forgiveness, being forgiven, thanking God, flourishing, then getting too full of themselves and falling again, and … … forgiven and … … flourishing and …… ..

If we can throughout our lives remain with the realization of the Love of God for us and our need of the Love of God, we will still have our storms to navigate, but will proceed more steadily, assuredly, richly, joyously, glowingly, and peacefully.

And if we can get enough people doing this and sharing Christ to the ends of the earth, we will accomplish God’s Goal, a worthy one. And then people of the Jewish faith will be converted and then Christ’s goal will be complete. Romans 11:25
